Other details: It may be one part of the canting rebus of Tideman de Winchcomb, Bishop of Worcester AD 1395 to AD 1401. The winch or capstan with ropes wrought around after the fashion of Stafford knots is here displayed or it may be intended for Humphrey Stafford Duke of Buckingham as a badge. See tile numbered 557.
